A clean home is a healthy home
Keeping a home looking spick & span is not only for a 1950s housewife who has nothing else to do. It actually means a healthy home, free of dust, mess, & unnecessary clutter which is quietly whispering in your ear "you'll never get rid of me!"
We're not talking about having an unrealistic view of how much housework one can do, but just an encouragement on how to get things looking spring-time fresh, & for it to stay that way!
Dust around the home always needs special attention, particularly during spring's heightened hayfever symptoms. With people being more active after winter, ensure clutter is minimal inside & outside the home so as not to interfere with fun physical activities, that should otherwise be encouraged.
Here are some cleaning tips we can easily forget:
1. Don't do all the cleaning yourself.
Ask for help if you need to, especially if you are unwell or have an injury.
2. Organise a garage sale which involves the whole family.
This can help with decluttering your home & generate quick pocket-money for your young helpers.
3. Wash your windows inside & outside.
Especially important to keep away spiders & bugs, which usually come out after winter when the weather warms up.
4. Arrange an inspection of your air-conditioning systems, so it's prepared for use in warmer weather.
5. Sort out clothing from past seasons - keep those you will wear, or donate those you no longer want. New seasons are great excuses for a new wardrobe - but do you have the storage space?
